Qalinch Agha Mound • گردی قالینچ ئاغا
Less than two kilometers from the Erbil Citadel, Qalinch Agha Mound is an archaeological site in Erbil. The Erbil Civilization Museum is located adjacent. According to Bartman's Handbook to Life in Ancient Mesopotamia (2005) the site "prospered during the late fourth millennium B.C.E. The man-made terrace that supports its temple may be the north's earliest. One of the city's residential streets featured houses with outdoor ovens, a practical precaution against fire." https://books.google.iq/books?id=1C4NKp4zgIQC&pg=PA31&lpg=PA31&dq=tell+qalinj+agha&source=bl&ots=Ss4eufMgv4&sig=kuaaJcfYRqYG_epZ85u96EyblRM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=5yWIVM_tGsT8UonGg9gK&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=tell%20qalinj%20agha&f=false
