Shrine of Mary
This tomb is associated with Mary, sometimes said to be Saint Mary (mother of Jesus) but also said to be a historical figure who was a descendant of Mohamed and came to Kirkuk, where she died.
The tomb is in the old church, now the main mosque of the citadel. Upon entering the lobby, to the left is a very narrow stairway leading underground to a tiny chamber with a few small windows.
