Old Hamilton Road detour

This beautiful little detour is actually a remnant of the original Hamilton Road, which at time cut the road out of solid stone to make it passable for automobiles.

The detour is accessible from a turn-off right next to a small truss bridge overlooking a paradisical spot with cascading waters and converging rivers.

Exploring the area is incredible any time of year, and even summers have shaded overhangs where plants grow in dripping freshwater springs.
