Birkat Hamazon is the prayer recited after a bread meal. It contains four prayers,
First, one gives thanks for the food. This blessing is said to have been composed by Moses (Berakhot 48b) to express gratitude for the manna.
Second, one gives thanks for Eretz Israel. This blessing is said to have been composed by Joshua, upon leading the Jewish people into Eretz Israel.
Third, one praises Jerusalem. This blessing is Concerns Jerusalem, is ascribed to David, who established it as the capital of Israel and Solomon, who built the Temple in Jerusalem.
