Anfal Tanks • دبابات الانفال

These three tanks were left behind by Saddam Hussein's troops. The summit of the hill opposite the tanks has a flag, marking the spot where Saddam's troops were stationed to attack Kore. This was an important road with substantial traffic, so when Saddam's troops were defeated by the Peshmerga the tanks were left as a warning to all who travel through this corridor.
