Degala

This gorgeous village alongside the dam has a nice little roadside bazaar for refreshments, and a historic but ruined old village below the new modern village.

The village was emptied by the Anfal, and when the residents returned they found their old stone homes ruined or bombed. The new village was built uphill, above the ruins, along the new bridge/road.
