Duhok Castle • قلعة دهوك

Located where the post office is now, this castle was mentioned in the reign of Sultan Hassan Beck when Duhok city joined Badinan Emirate and also one of the princes was killed in the castle.

The last to mention it was the French traveler Nedea, who passed the city in 1897, who said it was an ancient castle that was deserted when the prince built a new one. A wall remains today.
