Ezidi shrines around Shingal

There were no Ezidi shrines in Sinjar prior to 2014, due to concerns that it would attract problems from the Muslim residents of the town. Instead, all Ezidi shrines were tucked away in remote places, either in villages or around the mountain. However, as part of a new vision for the future, Shrine of Kobe Ezi (Sinjar town) will be dedicated in 2019 the first Ezidi shrine in Sinjar. It is the first Ezidi shrine in memory to be in the town itself.
