Ezidkhan
'Ezidkhan' refers to the Ezidi world, an inextricable trinity of community, spirituality, and settlement which infuses the landscape of Ezidi towns, villages, castes, tribes, and clans especially in the Ezidi heartland around Sinjar and Ayn Sifni (also known as Shekhan, near Lalish). Ezidis have preserved their unique regulations, rites, hagiographies, and histories through oral and textual traditions, and are one of the 21st century’s most enduring yet persecuted ethnoreligious groups.
