Amal Ramzi Alamuddin Clooney
Amal is a Lebanese-British lawyer who was born in Beirut in 1978 during the Lebanese Civil War. Since 2010, she has been with Britain’s Doughty Street Chambers where she specializes in international law and human rights. During her first UN appearance, Clooney detailed the human-rights violations suffered by Ezidi women. She and her husband George Clooney founded the Clooney Foundation for Justice, where they serve as co-presidents.
