[02] Lalish Central Courtyard

The central courtyard has an old disused stone arcade where shops used to be. There is a small fenced-off garden plot where children's skeletons were found, thought to be remains from past massacres at Lalish against the Yezidis.

There is a tremendously old and gnarled olive tree, some niches for oil lamps, and a few relics such as a stone pressing wheel.
