Beri Shalmashi is an Iranian Kurdish filmmaker, born in Paris, raised in Amsterdam, where she graduated from the national film school. Working between Amsterdam and Kurdistan, she studied at the Netherlands Film Academy and received MA at the Utrecht School of Arts. She made several films that have won awards.
