The name originates from Rabbi Asa, who recommended it as an Aramaic phrase meaning good vineyard. Previously, the intended name was Kosher Services but this did not give a strong emotional impact.

However, the concept of food services goes back to the very earliest year that I had lived in the Kurdistan Region. I saw there was a lack of good vegetarian options, and wanted to open a restaurant called California Fresh.
