Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Also known as AOC, Alexandria is the youngest woman to ever be elected to the US Congress at the age of 29, defeating a ten-term incumbent Congressman. At the time she was elected into Congress, many other young women were also elected including Ilhan Omar, the first Somali female, Muslim and refugee.

Serving as educational director for the National Hispanic Institute in 2017, she advocates for abolishing the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement among other major social issues for Americans. AOC is also a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.
