Malala Yousafzai
Born in Pakistan in 1997, Malala is an activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Peace laureate at the age of 17. Around the age of 12, she was shot in an assassination attempt by a Taliban gunman for her activism. Following her recovery in the UK, she continued her work to advocate for the right to education and founded the Malala Fund, a non-profit organization that fights for girls’ education. Malala was granted honorary Canadian citizenship and currently studies Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford in England.
