Renee Dangoor
Renee was a sophisticated young woman from an affluent Jewish family in Baghdad who won First Miss Iraq in 1947 at the age of 21. This has secured her role as the "ancestor" of the modern-day Iraqi beauty industry, and also as a symbol of Iraq's diverse and pluralistic society. She remained a popular figure in Iraqi-Jewish society after their exile to other countries.
